While the low framerate and unconventional controls keep this from working as an aim-trainer, the graphics are seriously impressive for a Flash game, especially back in 2003.

Presentation is solid, animation is fantastic, gameplay is...well, it's shooting targets. It's not exactly novel, but it's not exactly flawed either.

While the overall execution is not bad and the character is novel and responsive, I've not found a comfortable hand position for the set of keybinds here.

Good job nonetheless!

It's great to see Mini-Putt back after all these years, but I still miss the infinitely hard shots you could do in the original!

Awkward pauses, clunky jumping, and a somewhat sterile/empty feel gave me a bad first impression here.

However, the trail+casette respawn mechanics made this into a unique and memorable play that deserved its frontpage spot!

This is the very definition of games as art.

It's clever the way the dialogue interferes with your task, or your task interferes with your ability to engage with the characters. The different viewpoints represented, the realities we face. The choices in what sacrifices you make. You've distilled the crises of modern society into an impressively concise format.

The presentation is pretty cool too, haha~

Thanks so much for the review. I'm so glad that people are really getting it with this game. I honestly had no idea how it would be recieved because its not necessarily a "fun" game.

Dayum, this is quality! While it's all-around pretty much flawless, I think the spritework--particularly interpreting all these different characters into a cohesive style--deserves special credit.

Is that bloop sound from Hungry Pumkin? If so, very fitting.

Yeye lol

amazing how you recognized the sound!

I don't even know where to start with this. The visual design is so clean yet far from bland minimalism. The character animation has just the right amount of flow to feel natural, not so much as to be cartoonish. The colours are all so cohesive and easy on the eyes.

From a gameplay standpoint, the movement of the character (as simple as it is) feels great, and gels perfectly with the stable mechanisms of the environment.

Speaking of the environment, I love how well each element is communicated without having to spell anything out. I can't tell you how many games on here have been absolutely burdened by burying you in condescending spell-outs before you're allowed to see anything for yourself.

What you've done here is perfect for what it is.

I knew this would be something special the moment I saw that pico8 intro. Always fun to catch something like this on new!

Clean sprites, good music, cute and coherent design. I like it on the art front.

When I first got to playing, I was thinking "Bah, this movement is so basic. What could they possibly innovate from this?". I played Worm Zone and got my answer.

I do have one gripe, however, and it's a big one. Replaying a whole level's worth of dead-easy stuff just to get another shot at what you haven't figured out yet gives you just enough time that it's dropped from your short-term memory and it's like going in somewhat blind again.

Glad you liked it! In the full game with actual finished and cohesive levels checkpoints (hopefully) will elevate this issue, my thought process when making these little areas was that they were small enough that it wouldn't be too difficult to make it back where you were, but I'll def keep good checkpoint placement in mind in the full game!

Glad you liked it! <3

I'm actually trying, trust me!
