Wow, the animation on this is incredible. Next-level spritework.

I find the single-player too simplistic to really get a feel for the gameplay, and I'm not about to drag someone to my house just to squeeze their hands in beside mine on my keyboard, so I can't give a proper impression of that aspect.

But wow, that art!

For how long? I look forward to seeing what this becomes.

Default responds:

There might be more added to the overworld after the games are released but I'm not sure yet

It took me some fussing around to really "get" the controls, but once they clicked the really clicked. With the sheer amount of depth you get from this mechanic, the very to-the-point design, the focused measure of progress, I could see this catching a lot of relevance as a speedrun game.

I hope it does; I'd love to see how much people can optimize this unusual movement.

Miroko responds:

I was thinking of expanding a lot more on this mechanic since it is very physic based and easy to implement but ran out of time with these cutscenes. I would love to see someone speedrun this game other than me haha

The walking felt a bit sluggish and weird, but I'm liking this hefty bounce you get after jump-stomping something.

What really fits the pixel day thing is that delightful spritework and music, the faithfulness to the original system. This is really good!

EDIT: And straight onto featured it goes! That's a good sign, eh?

So you call them shitposts despite the fact that they are obviously good. 🍔

y-yuh....y-y-you know the-... one thing i sh-.... excuse me for one second....

Great spritework, fun movement, and the versatility of that role gives Moomoo its own unique identity. Seeing you did it on your own makes it all the more impressive!

Sorry, but this just didn't work out. I can tell what you're going for, but the overexposure makes the walls invisible and the ghosts don't do anything when they touch you. The mega pellet as such loses its purpose.

I think this needs a lot more work before it's ready for uploading. :(

bad because yo uhave to eat so much plate!!!!

Ant responds:

shut up loser
us plate eaters hate people like you

NevaZ0r responds:

MmmMm plate :]

Wow, this is the first game I've ever felt compelled to outscore myself this way. The way the difficulty ramps up along with your score, BUT so does your ability to get more score via long-distance combos...I'm addicted!

I only have one complaint though. Jumping pits is kind of finnicky, and despite how fast you're going when you hit the ramp, if you miss the pre-ollie, you lose all your speed and smash immediately downwards. Feels like at that speed, the little ramp itself should give you the boost you need.

While this concept has been done plenty of times before, you struck gold with the execution. Fantastic work.

EDIT: It's also rad that you put extra effort into perfecting it after the fact!

cheesycoke responds:

THANK YOU it's been crazy watching your score jump up even further in the leaderboard, hella impressive stuff I really appreciate it! Means a lot seeing someone get that into it.
That ramp thing is definitely something I'll think about yeah, thank you for the input!

I'm actually trying, trust me!
