The fact that you were able to find a middle ground between the mental anguish of the monologue and the groovin' aerobics of the source material astounds me. Every frame of this is absolutely stellar.

I'm not sure how this relates to growing up, but the mood you've set here is stunning. For such a minimal setting, I found myself quite immersed in it for the minutes we had with it.
